Park City Powder Cats - Still delivering the goods!

Monday was my 6th consecutive day of pow skiing here in Utah. This latest storm cycle produced far more snow than was originally forecast. Yeah, that's a good thing but I'll admit it, I'm spent! I've got hours and hours of video, photos and powder blogs to write and I honestly just can't keep up. I know what you're saying, "Boy this guys got it rough!" Well I appreciate your sympathies, but there is really nothing you can do about it. Mother nature needs to turn off the faucet so I can catch up on my “work.” I promise, I'll get the powder edits finished from Alta and Canyons this week. I’ll be sure to include clips from the Pond Skimming, Spring Gruv Concerts and backcountry skiing from the weekend as well. Looking back on that last sentence was kind of ridiculous, I mean I know I have it good out here, but this is getting kind of ridiculous. Let’s just say life is good in the Beehive State and I'm one lucky and grateful Powderhound.

Day number 80 occurred out in the Uinta Mountains of Utah, just 30 minutes east of Park City. There I had the opportunity to ski with the Park City Powder Cats and wow was it incredible. Not only were we able to get into the high alpine but the quality of the snow was incredible for late March. Remember it’s not winter anymore, it’s spring and the sun is super strong. Normally when it snows this time of year south, east and west facing aspects begin to get baked and absorb a ton of the suns energy, so if you're looking for powder you need to stay on northerly exposures. Today that just wasn't the case. The strong cold temperatures were able to fend off the high March sun angle and we skied powder all day long. Again, we are lucky, very very lucky...
