Ski Groups for Women

Alta Ski Area

Name: Ladies Day
Days & Times: This is a five-week program on Thursdays – starting January 12 through February 9, 2023. Skiing goes from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Skill level: advanced-intermediate to expert
Cost: $745 (lift ticket sold separately)
Details: This program can hold up to 50 skiers (Alta is a ski-only resort), comes with an instructor, and includes hot cocoa and lunch. The goal of this program is to help women reach their full skiing potential in an atmosphere that is motivating, uplifting and fun.

Brighton

Name: Women’s Workshop
Days & Times:
·      3-day workshop | Thursdays, December 1, 8, 15 | 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. ($250)
·      4-day workshop | Wednesdays, January 11, 18, 25, & February 1 | 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. ($350)
·      4-day workshop | Thursdays | January 12, 19, 26, & February 2 | 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. ($350)
·      4-day workshop | Thursdays | March 2, 9, 16, 23 | 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. ($350)
Cost: $250 (three-day workshop) and $350 (four-day workshop). The price includes a 7-hour lift ticket for the day of the lesson.
Details: This program is set up to have the same skiers and boarders and the same female instructor each session, which helps to create a special bond and supportive atmosphere during the workshops.

Deer Valley Resort

Name: Women’s Weekend Program
Days & Times: December 9–11, 2023 and February 3–5, 2023 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Skill level: Advanced-beginner to advanced
Cost: $855 (lift ticket sold separately)
Details: This three-day clinic is taught by Deer Valley’s female ski instructors. Attendees plan the day's focus, and each clinic offers video analysis and test ski equipment.

Powder Mountain

Cost: $375 (lift ticket sold separately)
Details: Powder Mountain’s female instructors will match participants with similar abilities and spend each session perfecting their skills. Each session includes a three-hour lesson and après ski activities (charcuterie and beverages served at the Adventure Yurt after each class).

Snowbasin Resort

Name: Women on Wednesdays
Days & Times: This is a four-week program on Wednesdays | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Skill level: All levels
Cost: $599 (lift ticket sold separately)
Details: This program has female instructors with a 6-to-1 student-to-instructor ratio to make it a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Each day includes early gondola access an hour before the resort opens to the public, priority lift line access, hot cocoa and coffee breaks, special guest speakers, discounts in the Retail Shop and a season-ending luncheon.

Sundance Mountain Resort

Name: Ladies Day Ski Clinics
Days & Times: This is a four-week program on Tuesdays or Thursdays | 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Details: This program includes coaching with a female instructor. Each session will have a maximum of 10 participants, broken into groups based on ability levels. These clinics are tailored for women who want to improve their skiing or snowboarding skills or learn how to ski or snowboard for the first time.

Here is bonus info for anyone (male or female) who wants to learn how to ski or snowboard in a low-pressure group setting.

Nordic Valley

Name: After Work Program (new)
Days & Times: This is a four-week program on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays in January, February, and March. Participants are committed to the day they choose for four consecutive weeks. The program runs from 5–7 p.m.
Skill level: Beginner
Cost: $245 - $277 (Depends on the day of the week. Lift ticket sold separately.)
Details: This is a brand-new program created after feedback from parents who said they wanted something similar to the After School Program their kids were in. So if learning to ski or snowboard sounds better than running errands or sitting in the car while your littles learn how to shred, this could be the ski program for you!
