Some January Edits that Will Give You Powder Panic

Here in Utah we have been having one of the snowiest Januarys in recent memory. The snow gods have dropped several feet of powder on us over the past few weeks. With the proliferation of POV cameras, smart phones and more professional methods of video capture there seems to be a handful of edits from our local mountains popping up every day. That being said, I have been scouring the internet and social media for a few of my favorites. Just be warned, the images you are about to see may encourage you to quit your job, buy a new powder board, live off of Top Ramen and just snowboard every single day for the rest of the season.

Alex Andrews of Burton Snowboards and Froth Worldwide has been on a mission this year at Brighton, as proven by this high intensity edit. Follow his movement "For Rippers Out There Hyped" @frothworldwide

While this may have been filmed a bit in December as well, Seamus Foster put this clip together and up to this point has been my favorite edit of the season. The ender shot of Nils Mindichis sure to get you pumped. Brighton continues to be the epicenter of local snowboard progression.

Erik Overson has somehow become the new VIP powder ninja at Snowbird this season, scoring some of the best turns of the season before anyone else can find them. So if you ever see a man in all red up at the Bird, just follow him.

My freind Desiree Melancon has been on a two year journey across America, documenting some of our country's favorite and most out of the way resorts. She has been logging some time up at Brighton this season in an effort to get to know this special place a whole lot better. Follow her exploits on the @unitedslopesofamerica on Instagram and at snowboarder.com

Solitude Mountain Resort has been as good as anywhere in the country this year and our friend James P Fleege has been capitalizing on the botomless powder and non-existent lift lines.

If you have an edit that you think can make the monthly cut, feel free to reach out to us @skiutah and we will take a look at your footage. Now get off the computer and go shred.
