Spring can feel like a sad time if you are a winter lover, but it can also be a very fun time in Utah if you like to celebrate. As the temperatures warm and the winter season starts to wrap up, we don’t anticipate many more powder days, but we do get to look forward all of the celebratory events, concerts, competitions and dress up days. The weekends ahead are some of the most fun times to be had on the slopes. Bust out your ski-kini, leotards, onesies and best retro gear - we'll see you on the slopes!
Alta Ski Area
Snowflake Festival March 29th at 6 pm - April 1st at 8 pm. Put on by the Alta Community Enrichment, these four days consist of an Alta school play, cribbage tournament, gnome hunt, golf swing competition, snowflake marshmallow class, a biathlon, an egg hunt and a chili cook-off!
Vinyasa Yoga at 5:30 pm on April 6th. Join a free yoga practice at Alta's Goldminer's Daughter Lodge in the yoga room. Perfect after a day of skiing!
Alta in April Demo Day April 7th from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. Bring your ski boots and credit card to test out some new sticks for next year!
Earth Day April 14th. Birding ski tour from 9 am - 10:30 am with Tracy Aviary bird experts. Snowshoe with the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation from 10 am - 11:30 am with trained Naturalist guides. Tour with a Ranger for a half hour tour starting at 1 pm or 2 pm to learn about Alta's history, trees, and wildlife. Check out the TreeUtah Table for a tree ecology tour to learn how the trees interact with their surrounding environment. Appetizers and drinks, along with an Earth Day Film from 5 pm - 8:30 pm.
Closing Day Celebrations - Celebrate the season and don your funkiest attire for Alta's traditional closing day festivities.
Beaver Mountain
Beaver Bash on March 31st. The day will be filled with rowdy competitions! Easter egg hunt at 10 am, "Race the Face" boot pack and ski competition at 10:30 am and cool off with a Pond Skim at 11:30 am.
Brian Head
Last Rail Jam to compete in on March 31st. Flaunt your best tricks to win medals and swag bags!
Kids Easter Festival on March 31st - April 1st. Kids carnival at Navajo Lodge, with games, face painting, easter egg hunt, and prizes from 11 am - 3 pm.
Spring Carnival & Great White Weekend - April 7th. Pondskim, bikini slalom, cardboard sled races and more. This is a fun event you won't want to miss!
Park City Mountain
Spring Grüv from March 24th - April 8th. Live music, Après action, and family entertainment to enjoy at Canyons Village and Legacy Lodge.
Pond Skimming Competition on April 7th at 12noon. Put on your wildest outfit and you'll fit right in at the annual pond skimming event! It is free for spectators and $35 for the brave participants to attempt to cross the slush-filled pond. Keep an eye out for the Ski Utah Yeti - he keeps showing up to judge at this event.
Powder Mountain
Easter Egg Hunt on March 31st from 9 am - 11 am. Eggs are filled with candy and raffle tickets to win awesome gear!
Powder Prom on April 14th. Grab a date and get fancy for Powder Prom with live music, photo booth, limbo, raffle, awards, and more! RSVP on Facebook.
Snowbasin Resort
Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Brunch, and Chapel Service on April 1st. Celebrate Easter with your family and friends at Snowbasin! Even the Easter Bunny will be there to take pictures with you from 9:20 am - 10 am. A non-denominational chapel service will be held at the beautiful Needles Lodge at 2 pm.
Spring It On Pond Skimming and Music April 14th. Contestants of the pond skim get a chance to win a 2018-19 season pass. Registration is free for those who come dressed in a costume. Pond skim begins at 12noon, with live music at 2:30 pm.
Snowbird
Sunrise Service at Hidden Peak on April 1st. Hop on up to Snowbird for a short sermon at 7:10 am and live music as the sun rises. Enjoy Easter Breakfast at one of Snowbirds restaurants and a 9 am Easter Egg Hunt.
Solitude Mountain Resort
Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt April 1st. Get your Easter on at Solitude and ski with the Easter Bunny from 9 am - 12 pm.
