The Olympics in Park City?

Well the Winter Olympics may not be coming to Park City any time soon but this weekend it sure will feel like the Olympic Winter Games are in town.
The Olympics in Park City?

This weekend goes down as the BEST weekend to be in Park City, Utah. If you’re into watching winter sports this it, it doesn’t get any better than this. It’s pretty much like the Olympics rolled into town. Not only does Deer Valley Resort host the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup but Park City Mountain also hosts the Visa U.S. Freesking Grand Prix. The best part of all these events, they are free to the public. This marks the 17th year of international and world competitions hosted at Deer Valley®, including the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, two World Championships and 14 World Cups making the resort an esteemed venue for the freestyle community. All competitions will be held at night under the lights at Deer Valley Resort.

Men's and women's aerial events will be held on the White Owl ski run on Friday, February 5, 2016. Men's and women's mogul and dual mogul events are scheduled on the Champion ski run on Thursday, February 4 and Saturday, February 6, 2016. Finals for all disciplines will take place in the evening, with a fireworks display concluding each night.

Here are the highlights from last years event at Deer Valley

Deer Valley even puts on a free concert on Main Street on Wednesday night. This years act is American folk rock band from Los Angeles, Dawes. 

The opening act starts around 6:30 pm. Dress warm and get ready to party! Following the show there are also fireworks on Main Street. This is an event for the entire family.
