The 2018 Deer Valley FIS Freestyle World Cup kicks off this week in Park City. This is one of the biggest events on the local’s calendars this winter. For the 20th time, Deer Valley Resort will be hosting three days of the best mogul and aerial skiers in the world all taking place at night, under the lights. To make this weekend that much better, snow is in the forecast this week!
Due to the upcoming Olympics in South Korea, the event has been moved up a few weeks and is now an Olympic Qualifying event. The Dual Mogul event will not take place this year, but we’ll have back-to-back nights of Olympic level bump skiing on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Music will be blasting, flags will be waving, fans in costumes will be dancing, and lots of warm cocktails will be consumed as the NBC cameras will be rolling until the last firework has been lit.
Then everyone heads to Main Street to keep the party rolling. You don’t want to miss this.

Wednesday 1/10: The event kicks off with mid-day qualifying runs and an Olympic Qualifying finals under the lights.

Thursday 1/11: A repeat performance for the bump skiers, with a second round of Olympic Qualifiers for both Men and Women.

Friday: 1/12: Aerialists get their turn Friday afternoon and night. Stop by mid-day for the qualifying rounds, but don't miss the finals under the lights, followed by fireworks.
