Snowland Resort is a community ski area in the mountains above Fairview, Utah — with easy and intermediate terrain, two lifts, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Fairview Canyon, Snowland Ski Area first opened in 1967, thanks to the vision and hard work of the Jerry Nelson family. The resort closed in 1980, but the spirit of Snowland never disappeared. During the years that followed, Wasatch Academy continued to use and operate the facility for educational and recreational purposes, helping preserve Snowland's legacy and keeping its connection to the community alive. In 2025, a dedicated group of volunteers formed the Snowland Foundation and partnered with Wasatch Academy and Snow College to bring Snowland back to life. Supported by a $1 million grant from the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant Program, the community began restoring and improving public facilities and rebuilding the ski area's infrastructure.

On January 17, 2026, Snowland welcomed skiers and snowboarders back to the mountain for the first time in 46 years as a public resort, reopening with its iconic rope tow on Saturdays and holidays.
