Wasatch Geotech is a hands-on engineering and consulting firm based in Utah, providing specialized services for avalanche, rockfall, geotechnical, and limited-access projects across North America. We work with clients who need practical, technically sound solutions in demanding environments, from mountain infrastructure and hazard mitigation to inspection, maintenance, and construction support.

Our team offers project-based custom services, including avalanche risk and hazard assessments, field data collection, snow depth and stratigraphy observations, geospatial analysis, UAV surveying, hazard mapping, back-analysis of past events, and dynamic avalanche modeling. We support planning and structural design for active and passive mitigation measures, including fences, berms, RACs, rockfall mesh, and related protection systems.

In addition to snow and avalanche services, we provide broader geotechnical and construction engineering support, including micropiles, retaining walls, sheet pile and soil nail systems, deep foundations, shotcrete, and other permanent or temporary geotechnical solutions. We are prepared for high-altitude, steep, or difficult-access sites where specialized equipment and work experience are most crucial.
