DEER VALLEY RESORT; PARK CITY, UTAH (October 16, 2013) –Deer Valley Resort has launched its digital winter guide for the 2013-2014 ski season. The guide is available as a free download from the iTunes App Store. In addition, a web-based version of the guide can be downloaded at deervalley.com to experience the interactive guide on any tablet, laptop or desktop.The media-rich tool is full of helpful tips on how to plan your Deer Valley® ski vacation, best way to navigate the resort and its amenities, as well as insider knowledge on what to expect upon arrival at the resort with our on-mountain restaurants, hundreds of luxurious condos and variety of skiable terrain.
“With this interactive travel guide, guests can see what sets Deer Valley apart from other ski resorts through insider information, dynamic photo guides and compelling video,” said Coleen Reardon, director of marketing for Deer Valley Resort. “Users can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the resort and see what it's like to ski our six peaks with an exclusive video tour of the mountain.”
Fully interactive, the 2013-2014 Deer Valley Resort Winter Guide features a mountain tour section lead by Resort Ambassador of Skiing, Heidi Voelker, where she takes users on a virtual tour and highlights her favorite places on the mountain. The interactive trail map in this section highlights various locations and runs and provides a feel for terrain and key mountain destinations. The “On with the Snow” section provides interesting behind-the-scenes glimpses with some of Deer Valley's employees, such as the resort's Lead Snowcat Groomer, Dave Smith. The “Sweetest Dreams” section affords guests the option to view more lodging photo gallery options than available in the printed guide.
In the Dining section, Director of Food and Beverage, Julie Wilson shares a behind-the-scenes look of what goes in to creating Deer Valley's award-winning fare. It also features video vignettes of the resort's atmospheric après-ski bar, the EBS Lounge. A major bonus for parents traveling with young kids is the Ski School section of the guide shows parents the actual Children's Center, giving them a real sense for how it operates and what they can expect for childcare. It also features the resort mascots and tips from our ski school.
