Utah’s newest ski and snowboard resort announces a “Preview Weekend” on Saturday and Sunday, December 14­15, with $25 lift tickets for everyone.

December 8, 2013 ­ Eagle Point Resort in Beaver, Utah today announced it wil open for a “Preview Weekend” on Saturday and Sunday, December 14­15, with $25 lift tickets for everyone, 30 runs, 4 lifts and a 35” base.

Following last weekend’s major snowstorm which dropped 17” of fresh snow at the resort, Eagle Point wil open earlier than originally scheduled after receiving 86” of total snowfall this season. The resort wil be open Saturday and Sunday for the “Preview Weekend”, closed Monday through Wednesday, December 16­19, before opening every day during the holiday period from Thursday, December 19 through January 5.

“We are stil finishing some projects, like the upper lodge kitchen expansion and the relocation of the surface lift to the steep side. However, we received so much new snow that we wanted to open early for the weekend so our guests could enjoy a powder day early in the season” explained Shane Gadbaw, CEO and Co­Owner of Eagle Point Resort.

In October 2013, Eagle Point announced its core marketing campaign for the 2013/2014 season “Your Second Home” ­in which it offers flat rate $25 lift tickets al season based on the eligibility factors below:

● al skiers and snowboarders every Thursday and Sunday (excluding holidays)

● children (7­17) and colege students (must show ID or proof of enrolment)

● military, police, and firefighters (must be active duty and show ID)

● casino industry employees (must show ID)

● anyone with a 2013/2014 season pass to any other ski or snowboard resort in the U.S.

● al skiers and snowboarders with 2­night minimum stay lodging packages (excluding holidays)

● with eligible tour bus operators 

“Sking and snowboarding would be so much more popular if they weren’t so expensive.” Shane Gadbaw, CEO of the resort, explained. “When we smashed our single day attendance record on the first free Thursday last year, we learned immediately how critical price is when trying out a new resort. We already knew from experience that after one visit, most guests love what they experience here and look forward to coming back.” 

Since opening in 2010, this ‘boutique’ all-season mountain resort located in Beaver, Utah (just 3.5 hours north of Las Vegas) has pursued a path to become the sking and snowboarding destination­ of­ choice in the southwest.
