Snowbasin, Utah – September 23rd, 2014 – Snowbasin Resort’s Farm to Table Dinner on Saturday, September 27th will offer guests a delicious four course menu showcasing locally sourced cheese, meats and produce. Farm-to-table dining features the freshest ingredients, sourced minutes from where they will be enjoyed. “We have been doing a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) with Borski Farms out of Kaysville for the first time this year and it has been great. Every week, we incorporate the produce we pick up at the farm into our menus. We are very excited to feature local organic produce and enjoy supporting these local organic farming practices. We are lucky to live in an area with such plentiful and high quality local ingredients,” says Chef Eric Byrd.
Guests will enjoy a local cheese plate from Gold Creek Farms in Kamas, Utah during the scenic ride up the gondola to Needles Lodge with beautiful views of the fall foliage and the Ogden Valley. The dinner menu will include Smoked Duck Breast Glazed with Slide Ridge Honey and salt harvested from the Great Salt Lake, Mountain Valley Trout from Smithfield, Utah, a Yak, Apple & Gorgonzola Meatloaf with spicy bourbon peach glaze with Yak from Yakety Yak Farm in Huntsville, Utah, and more. All produce will be sourced from local farm stands and Borski Farms in Kaysville, Utah. Purveyors include Borski’s Farm Produce, Morgan Valley Lamb, Fog River Salmon, Beehive Cheese, Gold Creek Cheese, Daily Rise Coffee Company, Lehi Roller Mills, Creminelli Fine Meats, and Cox Honey Farms.
