BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON, UT — June 17, 2021 — Solitude Mountain Resort is pleased to announce its lineup for the inaugural season of Coca-Cola Sunset Cinema, a series of beloved movie classics showing on the big screen on Thursday nights beginning July 1 through September 2, 2021. Admission will be free, and Barq’s root beer floats will be $2 for the first 50 (regular price $6). Screenings will begin at dusk. Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets or low lawn chairs to settle in on the lawn next to Apex Express chairlift.
“We are thrilled to bring our community together for this new weekly event. We hope it will be an opportunity for friends to gather in the mountains and relax in the fresh air,” says Kate Macconi, Solitude’s events manager.

Solitude Mountain Resort opens for summer on Friday, June 18, 2021. Sunrise chairlift will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday, offering scenic chairlift rides as well as lift-served mountain biking, hiking, and disc golf. Honeycomb Grill will be open Thursday through Sunday. The Thirsty Squirrel will be open Friday through Sunday for guests 21+. Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery will be open seven days a week.
Solitude is also excited to announce the return of stargazing, geology hikes, free outdoor yoga on Saturdays, and free live music on Sundays in Solitude Village. Solitude SummerFest is scheduled for Sunday, August 8. The full summer calendar of events can be found at www.solitudemountain.com.
