Spend your Labor Day weekend listening to free live music, tasting chili, hiking, mountain biking and more at Snowbasin Resort

Snowbasin, UT – August 18, 2015 Spend your Labor Day weekend listening to free live music, tasting chili, hiking, mountain biking and more at Snowbasin Resort!

Saturday, September 5, enjoy a guided tour of the cirques at 10:30am. Hike from the top of Needles Gondola to the ridge and from there to Needles Peak, and then back to the Needles Gondola. This hike will give you a bird’s eye view of both the Ogden and Salt Lake Valleys, while you learn about the high-altitude environment. Guided tours are $15 per person and meet at 10:30am in the Grizzly Center.

On Sunday, September 6, be sure to hang out on the lawn at Earl’s Lodge and listen to free, live music at the Blues, Brews & BBQ ‘Keeping it REAL Fest’ featuring Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Dead Winter Carpenters, The Weekenders and Bird in the Trees. Music starts at 12:30pm and goes all day until 5:30pm. Enjoy local craft beer and delicious BBQ food while lounging on the lawn. Let the kids play on the playground, bungee jump and climbing wall or join the Kid’s Adventure Tour from 2:30pm to 5:30pm where they will go rock hunting. This family-friendly event is fun for all ages.

Monday, September 7, showcases the 3rd Annual No Name Chili Fest, a food drive event for the Utah Food Bank and the ‘Beat Hunger by a Mile’ campaign. The Snowbasin Resort Culinary Team will make batches of their own personal chili recipes which guests can sample, taste and then vote on. The winning chili will be served all year long at John Paul Lodge for the 2015-16 season. Chili tasting kits are $15 per person with $2 of every purchase going directly to the Utah Food Bank. If you bring non-perishable food items to help fill our ‘Beat Hunger Gondola’ that will be set-up in the middle of the plaza, your tasting kit will be automatically reduced to $13; with the $2 of each purchase still benefitting the Utah Food Bank. There will also be free live music from Dead Winter Carpenters and Henry Wade Band as well as BBQ items and beverages available for purchase. All ages are welcome.
