PARK CITY FOOD & WINE CLASSIC SEMINARS NOW ON SALE

Culinary festival pairs mountain activities with award-winning cuisine

PARK CITY, Utah (May 2017) — Tickets to all Park City Food & Wine Classic seminars are now available for purchase. In addition to the Classic’s signature events – Wine on the Mountain July 6, Main Street’s Stroll of Park City July 7, and the Toast of Park City July 8 – food, wine, and outdoor lovers can experience more than 20 unique seminars that cater to their specific tastes and interests. 

“There is no place better than Park City in the summer to host this world class, epicurean-focused event, showcasing the city’s most appealing and unique assets,” said Ashley Emerson-Keating, director of Townsquare Lifestyle Events. “With a variety of unique and diverse attractions to offer, it’s a great honor to be involved with bringing new visitors to the area.”

THURSDAY, JULY 6

Sup & Suds I

      Time:  11:00am - 1:00pm

      Location: Deer Valley Lake 

Park City SUP leads this unique, water-based seminar designed to improve your standup paddle boarding skills. A specially prepared lunch follows, compliments of Deer Valley, and is paired with local craft brews from Wasatch Brewery.

 

Pedal & Pour

      Time: 11am - 1pm

      Price: $95

      Location: DeJoria Events Center, Kamas

Take in the scenic views on this intermediate bike ride through the beautiful Uinta foothills. Delight in a gourmet lunch on DeJoria’s outdoor deck offering its own spectacular views, complemented with a selection of wines from IG Winery. 

 

Ride, Wine & Dine

      Location: Blue Sky Ranch

After a brief riding lesson at Blue Sky’s Outdoor Arena, embark on the two-hour Canyon and Creek horseback ride through the mountains, concluding at the Tavern Blue Sky. Enjoy a private chef, his open fire, and a 3-course meal paired with selected wine.

Montage to Moab

Led by Executive Chef Zane Holmquist of Stein Eriksen Lodge, take a scenic ride through single-track mountain biking trails. Chef Zane will prepare lunch on Stein’s deck with wines from Fisher Vineyards, Zacherle Wines, and David Arthur Vineyards. 

 

Hike & Hops

      Location: Apex at Montage Deer Valley

Beginning at the top of Guardsman Pass, this guided hiking route traces along Wasatch Crest trails and ends at the backdoor of Montage Deer Valley. Enjoy a barbeque lunch on Apex Terrace paired with beers, compliments of Executive Chef Shawn Armstrong.

Moonshine in the Mountains Luncheon

Small plates provided by the culinary team at High West will be matched with a range of rye whiskeys, bourbons, and exclusive blends from High West Distillery followed by a tour with founder David Perkins of High West’s new distillery location at Blue Sky Ranch.

Michael David Winery’s owner David Phillips and DeJoria ambassadors will guide you through a trail in the scenic Uinta foothills, followed by a tasting of a selection of wines from Michael David Winery.

Join Greg Stach of Landmark Winery in the intimate wine vaults of St. Regis Deer Valley as he pairs selected Sonoma Valley wines with the delightful cuisine from Chef Richard Samaniego of the St. Regis Deer Valley. 

 

Dîner en Blanc

      Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm

      Location: Canyons at Park City Mountain

Join the first ever Dîner en Blanc dressed in white to mirror the elegance and glamour of high French society. Local Master Chefs will prepare a pre-fixe menu of dishes, each paired with the perfect wine. 


SATURDAY, JULY 8

Spin and Sparkles

      Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm

      Location: St. Regis Deer Valley

Attendees will embark on a course through Park City and Deer Valley’s single-track terrain. Following the bike ride, enjoy lunch by Chef Richard Samaniego at the J&G Grill, with Wilson Daniels’ wines presented by Sommelier William Davis. Advanced riders only.

 

Vinyasa and Vino

      Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm

      Price: $105

      Location: Blue Sky Ranch

After a hike with breathtaking views, you will arrive at Tavern Blue Sky perched in a beautiful high mountain meadow, creating the perfect setting for mountain air yoga. Lunch by Blue Sky’s private chef paired with Old Town Cellars wine awaits you in Tavern Blue Sky.

 

Reds, Ryes, and Rambles

      Location: High West’s Nelson Cottage

Beginning at Park City Mountain, trek through aspen groves with High West ambassadors from Gravediggers to Sweeney Switchback Trail, ending at The Nelson Cottage on Park Ave. with lunch and wine tasting with Rex Hill.

Big and Bold Luncheon

Join Executive Chef Matt Harris and Master Sommelier Ron Mumford for small plates, each paired with big, bold wines. Join us at the Tupelo and participate in an Old World exercise of tannin, weight, body, and how food and flavor affect perceptions of “big.”

Indulge in a luncheon highlighting some of the finest wines from several Italian regions. Join an Advanced Sommelier from Santa Margherita and a private chef from Bambara as they share small plates, each paired with Italian wines. 

 

High West Whiskey & Wine Dinner

      Location: High West’s Nelson Cottage

The Nelson Cottage by High West captures the flavor of the West in its beautiful architectural design and artfully crafted cuisine. Enjoy a six-course fixed menu in a communal dining setting, each course complemented with either a wine or whiskey.

Take part in to Sporting Club at Blue Sky’s exceptional multi-station clay shooting experience. Each station on the course has a pavilion where Blue Sky’s private chef will serve food samples along the way, ending at The Yurt with light fare and fabulous wines.

This hiking route begins with a chairlift ride to the top of Bald Mountain leading to trails with views of the Jordanelle Reservoir. Enjoy a Stein’s brunch crafted by Executive Chef Zane Holmquist, and mix your own Bloody Mary presented by The Giltretind restaurant.
