Powder Mountain Announces Partnership with Uinta Brewing

Package to raise funds for Protect Our Winters.

Eden, UT (December 23, 2020) — Powder Mountain, in partnership with Uinta Brewing Company, has teamed up with two other Utah ski resorts to launch a new seasonal beer variety pack which aims to raise funds for Protect Our Winters (POW). The POW Pack celebrates Utah’s world-class resorts while solidifying their dedication and advocacy for systemic solutions to climate change. Hitting stores and resort restaurants this week, Uinta Brewing will donate a portion of proceeds to support POW’s mission.

For the past 6 years, Powder Mountain has supported POW’s message and efforts to protect the places most vulnerable to climate change. “We want future generations to enjoy the same powder we get to enjoy” said Mark Schroetel, Powder Mountain’s General Manager. “Protect Our Winters lobbies and represents ski resorts like ours, to make sure we can keep recreating on snow. This partnership with Uinta Brewery is another way for us to keep reinforcing POW’s message and help them fundraise” added Schroetel.

Uinta Brewery’s Director of Marketing, Jeremy Worrell explains, “We launched a small partnership with POW last winter through our Yard Sale Winter Lager draft program which gained a lot of traction, naturally we looked to build on that. As individuals and as a company, Uinta is passionate about environmental responsibility and about outdoor recreation. The snow that we shred this winter later becomes an integral component of our beer and POW is a leader in working to protect this crucial resource”.

Each POW Pack contains four 12-ounce bottles of Powder Mountain Pils, Brighton IPA and Deer Valley Black Bier. The bottles feature original artwork showcasing iconic imagery of each resort, which was produced by local Uinta Brewing collaborators, Long Weekend Studios.

The POW Pack will be available throughout the winter season (December 2020 – February 2021) across the Utah market in both grocery, convenience stores, and on-mountain. It will also be sold at the Uinta Brewing General Store in Salt Lake City.
