Powder Mountain Resort Releases Season Pass Pricing for Upcoming Season

Powder Mountain Resort, the largest skiable resort in North America, makes available 3,000 season passes for the 2018-2019 Winter Season.

Eden, Utah – Powder Mountain Resort, the largest skiable resort in North America, makes available 3,000 season passes for the 2018-2019 Winter Season. To preserve the uncrowded nature of the resort, the resort further limits sales to 1,500 adult passes within the 3,000 pass total. New for the upcoming winter season, the resort will offer deeper discounts to current college students between the ages of 19 and 26 years old.

During the 2018-19 winter, season pass holders will receive great benefits with partner resorts, including 3 free ski days at Copper Mountain, Grand Targhee Resort, Kiroro Resort and much more. Season pass holders also receive discounts at local businesses, including Lucky Slice Pizza, Slackwater and Eden A La Mode. The resort is continuously working towards adding additional perks and additional benefits could be added at any time. Powder Mountain’s 2018-2019 Season Passes go on sale Saturday, April 1th, 2018.  For more information, head over to powdermountain.com

For the past three years, the unique ski destination has imposed aggressively low daily ticket and season pass caps to protect the wide open character of the resort. “Long time Powder Mountain skiers and riders consistently ask us to keep the resort uncrowded and affordable while honoring the legacy of a resort that feels like a secret spot and holds untouched powder for days after a storm” said Mark Schroetel, General Manager of Powder Mountain Resort. “Passionate Powder Mountain fans have traditionally been tight lipped about their secret playground.  With more new guests finding out about the incredible experience at Powder Mountain, we decided to help keep the locals secret by instituting incredibly low ticket and pass caps to “Preserve the Pow” and maintain the character of resort for years to come.”

In addition to the season pass cap, Powder Mountain enforces a strict day pass cap with only 1,500 tickets sold daily. The cap is to further preserve the uncrowded, unspoiled, independent spirit of Powder Mountain. As an independently owned resort, it is increasingly being recognized as one of the best skiing destinations in the country—yet with only a fraction of the typical crowd.

The continued efforts of preserving the mountain’s unique feel coincides with the current real estate development on Powder Mountain. Real estate offerings in the new village range from custom home site lots, pre-designed Horizon Cabins or “heritage-modern” townhomes, Copper Crest West.  Final planning stages are in motion for a new “mini-home” concepts located within walking distance from the core of The Village. For additional real estate information email realestate@powdermountain.com or visit us online at living.powdermountain.com.

Powder Mountain offers something for everyone, from groomers to terrain parks, in addition to elements not commonly found at other resorts. Unique adventure experiences can be found for the day skier, including Powder Country, where skiers head off-piste to return via a network of shuttle buses, or Lightning Ridge single ride snowcat runs, where $25 tickets gives you over 2,500 feet of vertical drop.

Additionally, the resort hosts live music 3 to 5 nights a week in the Powder Keg and public events on most weekends. The next few weekends are stacked with great events for everyone in the family. A free Easter egg hunt will be hosted at the Sundown area on Saturday, March 31st. The famed bluegrass band “The Wooks” will be performing on Saturday, April 7th at Bower Lodge in Eden, Utah. Tickets can be purchased online at powdermountain.com/events. Lastly, to conclude the 2017-18 winter season, Powder Mountain will be throwing a prom themed party at Timberline Lodge on Saturday, April 14th.

As one the first resorts to cap day and season passes, Powder Mountain is a one of a kind resort hanging its hat on skier experience, adventure and an unprecedented mountain modern village development. With the addition of two new lifts in 2016, the throwback mom and pop style resort boasts the most skiable acreage in North America with 8,464 acres. Preserving the Pow Mow experience is made possible by capping day passes at 1,500 daily visitors and adult season passes at 1,500 yearly, which allows for an average of three acres per skier.
