PARK CITY, Utah (May 21, 2015) —Sound the dinner bell! Savor the Summit, Park City’s longest dinner party, is just weeks away, and live bands will once again keep the night rocking.
Utah’s own Tony Holiday & The Velvetones and Sin City Soul will headline Savor the Summit on June 20, playing funk, blues, soul and R&B at the event’s Main Stage, located in the Spirit Garden at Heber Avenue and Main Street. Jazz trios and other local musical acts will also line Main Street, where hundreds of residents and visitors will sit together for dinner at a “Grande Table”down the center of the historic thoroughfare.
Nearly two dozen renowned restaurants Park City restaurants will offer their choices of dinner and drinks, with menu prices ranging from $75 to $150 per person, and wine and beverage pairings either extra or included, depending on the establishment. “This event pairs Park City’s world-renowned restaurants with Utah’s world-famous summers and sunsets,”PCARA executive director Ginger Ries said. “Everyone in our community is invited to together for a great evening out on the town.”
Tony Holiday and the Velvetones, a “DirtbagBlues”band that spends as many as eight months on the road playing more than 200 gigs nationwide, will perform from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sin City Soul, bringing New Orleans funk to the mountains of Park City, will take the stage from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
The Spirit Garden will be serving an array of Constellation-brand premium wines and a selection of local Wasatch, Squatters and Red Rock beers, plus other refreshing beverages. New this year, The Spirit Garden will also be serving Jafflz™, a fast-casual, gourmet food concept based on the classic South African toasted “jaffle”pocket sandwich. Offerings include both sweet and savory fillings, inspired by the global culinary expertise of Chef Meryl van der Merwe.
