Snowbasin, UT (November 2016) - Snowbasin Resort will open to the public on Thursday, December 1, with top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding beginning at 9:00am. With the recent snowfall combined with extensive snowmaking, Snowbasin Resort will offer trails accessed by 3 lifts; Needles Gondola, Littlecat Express and Middle Bowl Triple. The Grizzly Center will be open from 8:00am – 5:00pm for all your retail and rental needs. The Activities Desk in Earl’s will be open 9:00am – 4:00pm for pass printing. Dining will be available at Needles Lodge, Earl’s Lodge and the Cinnabar. For more details check our website.
This past summer, Snowbasin Resort has expanded their energy-efficient snowmaking guns fleet to a total of 93 Techno Alpine Rubis Evo Guns. This allows for more efficiency during cold temperature periods; and paired with the 1 million dollar snowmaking retention pond installed in the summer of 2015, they have the ability to open more skiing and snowboarding terrain earlier.
With a new season comes new resort upgrades to provide excellent service and value for the guests. This past fall, Snowbasin Resort remodeled the basement of Earl’s Lodge –removing the cubbies and replacing them with a Guest Services Center, where guests can leave their things with an attendant for a small fee, charge their electronic devices, come and go as they please, and enjoy their ski day without worrying about their belongings.
In the culinary world, the Strawberry Café is being revamped to provide a more efficient manner of getting food and an expanded lunch menu with gourmet hot dogs, sausages and hot soups. Open daily once the Strawberry Gondola is open from 10:00am – 2:30pm.
Early season lift ticket rates are available starting at $44 for Youth and $79 for Adults. Snowbasin Resort will continue to expand terrain coverage as conditions allow. For more information, call Snowbasin Resort’s Snow Phone at 801.620.1100 or visit www.snowbasin.com for the latest updates.
