SOLITUDE MOUNTAIN RESORT OPENS DECEMBER 2

Skiers and snowboarders rejoice as 2017-18 winter season begins

SOLITUDE, Utah (November 2017) — Flakes are flying, and Solitude Mountain Resort’s lifts resume turning Saturday, December 2, to officially kick off the 2017-18 winter season.  Conditions permitting, Solitude traditionally opens 3 lifts and 6 runs for skiers and snowboarders beginning at 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  In addition, the Solitude Nordic Center is scheduled to open December 2nd.

“Our Solitude family couldn’t be more excited to kick off the 2017-18 winter season,” said Solitude Mountain Resort General Manager Kim Mayhew. “We’ve worked hard making key improvements and upgrades this spring, summer and fall with our guests in mind to offer an even better ski and snowboard experience.”

Several changes have been implemented to improve the guest experience at Solitude this season. Roundhouse restaurant, offering Himalayan and Wasatch-inspired fare, has seen ongoing improvements, along with interior upgrades to the Last Chance and Moonbeam Lodges. For an improved on-mountain experience, the Solitude return portion of the SolBright Trail has been realigned to provide more convenient ski/ride access, and guests can sample a fully upgraded fleet of Rossignol rental gear along with an entirely new inventory at the Nordic Center.

Additionally, visitors will have an enhanced web experience at solitudemountain.com with up-to-date daily mountain conditions and user-friendly trip planning tools including information about what to do, where to stay, where to eat, and not-to-be-missed resort events.

Full-day lift ticket prices are $88 for adults, $62 for seniors, $56 for juniors, and free for children 6 years old and under. Season passes can also be purchased at solitudemountain.com/lift-tickets.
