SOLITUDE MOUNTAIN RESORT ROUNDS OUT WINTER SEASON WITH ANNUAL NORDIC CENTER SPRING FLING

For many Nordic racers, Solitude Mountain Resort’s Nordic Center Spring Fling is a last hurrah for the season. On Saturday, March 17 registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with the races beginning at 10:00 a.m. The annual Solitude Spring Fling is a day of Nordic racing, music and food. Racers of all ages and abilities will go the distance at Utah’s highest and snowiest Nordic Center.

SOLITUDE, Utah (March 1, 2018) — For many Nordic racers, Solitude Mountain Resort’s Nordic Center Spring Fling is a last hurrah for the season. On Saturday, March 17 registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with the races beginning at 10:00 a.m. The annual Solitude Spring Fling is a day of Nordic racing, music and food. Racers of all ages and abilities will go the distance at Utah’s highest and snowiest Nordic Center. 

 

“The Solitude Spring Fling is a fun-filled day for the whole family,” said Kim Mayhew, Solitude Mountain Resort General Manager. “From festive costumes and heart-pumping races, to music, a hot grilled lunch and prizes, the Spring Fling sends the winter season off in style.” 

 

Discounted pre-registration is currently available by calling the Nordic Center at 801.546.5774. Costumes are encouraged, and burgers and hotdogs will be provided free of charge for all registered racers. Food will be available for purchase for non-registered attendees. Volunteers for the event are welcomed. A schedule of racing events and additional event contests is available at solitudemountain.com/spring-fling
