Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT (November 18, 2019) — Solitude will postpone its opening day for the 2019–20 ski season to Friday, November 29, 2019. It had originally planned to open on Saturday, November 23, 2019, but recent warm temperatures in the region and a lack of early season snowfall have challenged the resort’s efforts to prepare its slopes for skiers and snowboarders.
Solitude President & COO Kim Mayhew says: “Based on the current forecast, we expect that our new opening date will provide the best mountain experience for our guests, and we look forward to welcoming them to our snowy slopes later this month.”
