SPRING ADVENTURE+GEAR FEST RETURNS APRIL 17-18

Free admission for high school students the first day of the expo, and anyone can take part in a free Dimple Dell Trail Run.

WHAT:                      The Spring Adventure+Gear Fest, Utah’s largest public mountain and outdoor recreation expo, returns to Sandy next weekend. The event features thousands of the newest products of the season; hundreds of experts, industry insiders and celebrities; loads of contests and more than a dozen activities, from a mountain bike and fat bike demo track to climbing walls and adventure vehicles.

 

                                    What’s more, just announced this week, take part in a free 5k, 5-mile or 10-mile Dimple Dell Adventure Run on Saturday morning. Registration comes with a free ticket to the Adventure Gear+Fest, and every participant will also be entered to win a free pair of running shoes from The North Face Store booth at the expo.

                                    Plus, on Friday, high school students with school ID get free admission! Demo outdoor gear, talk with product experts and get engaged with the outdoors. Students must arrive before 5 p.m. to take advantage of the promotion, but may stay through closing.

                       

                                    The range of booths at the expo is as wide as the Wasatch itself. Check out mountain biking, running and trail running, camping, climbing, rafting, kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, adventure travel, overland expeditions, skiing, snowboarding, racing, outdoor photography and more —and many by local companies.

 

Plus, check out the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival ($15/per person and access to the Adventure+Gear Expo), a “Mega Ramp” featuring pro riders, an indoor mountain bike park by Wasatch Indoor Bike Park, a SUP pool, the “Thrillbilly Experience,” Slackline demo area, Strider bike races for kids, Camp Chef cooking demos, a long-board demo area, and a whole line of delicious food trucks.

 

WHEN:                      Friday, April 17, from 12 to 9 p.m.

                                    Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
