Alta, Utah, — The summer season has officially begun in Alta. The wildflowers are blooming, the summer road is open, the shuttle is running and there are activities and volunteer opportunities all summer long! Alta may be known for its snow filled ski slopes, but summer may just be the new season to visit. The Wasatch Wildflower Festival will take place at Alta on Saturday, July 25. View the gorgeous wildflowers and learn about the wide diversity of flowers found in the Wasatch as well as the protection of the watershed.

Alta Community Enrichment, hosts several events throughout the summer including outdoor yoga, culinary competitions and the Wasatch Art Soiree. Additionally there are several opportunities throughout the summer to give back to the land we love. Volunteer at one of the many summer stewardship events. For a full list of events visit our Discover Alta events calendar.

The Alta Lodge and Albion Grill also offer meals throughout the summer. Enjoy a delicious meal with incredible views at either Saturday lunch or Sunday brunch at the Alta Lodge. The Albion Grill, open daily from 10am-6pm, serves sandwiches, burgers and more as well as a “Hiker’s Lunch” for your picnic on the mountain.
