Little Dollie Waffles is located in the Moonbeam Lodge with a ski-up window alongside the snow. 5. Discover the Solitude Nordic Center
With over 20 kilometers of classic and skate skiing trails and 10 kilometers of snowshoeing paths, Solitude’s acclaimed Nordic Center provides even more action-packed activities for families and guests. The trails are groomed daily for Nordic skiing and offer a nice variety of gentle meadows, wide-open trails, or scenic detours wrapping into the woods.
Trails are accessible from both Solitude and the Nordic Center and a shuttle runs three times daily between both areas for the convenience of guests. Private and group lessons, workshops, clinics, and snowshoeing tours are all offered in addition to equipment rentals.
Start exploring Solitude’s peaceful winter wonderland with the Silver Lake Loop. This flat, groomed trail is perfect for first-timers and helps guests adjust to the high altitude. Keep your eyes peeled for resident moose and other wildlife viewing opportunities. For a little more difficulty, venture into the trees to find undulating terrain and loops of differing lengths. Skiers may choose to ski down and explore the lower elevation loops and can then grab the return shuttle to the Nordic Center or hoof it back up the 533 vertical feet to the Nordic Center.
