Beaver Mountain Getaway!

Tucked away in northern Utah, is one of the best kept secrets. Stashed with snow from weeks ago, Beaver Mountain might be small, but it has it all!
Beaver Mountain Getaway!

107 miles north of Salt Lake City is a tiny treasure of Utah, Beaver Mountain Ski Resort. To get there, you take a beautiful drive through Logan Canyon. On our road trip, we took a pit stop at “Rick Springs” for a quick history lesson of the exploration and construction of the road to Bear Lake Valley. We then made our way to Water’s Edge Resort on the shoreline of Bear Lake. Checking into the condo, we felt so welcomed and comfortable. The condo has a full kitchen, fireplace, and plenty of room for guests. There is a restaurant on site called Cody’s Gastro Garage the serves a hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes and delicious dinner, appetizers and drinks after a day of activity! Water’s Edge is in its beginning stage of construction, but has plans to build an indoor water park, 70 condominiums, 86 hotel rooms, sport court, activity center, and multiple dining options. This will be an amazing, year-round destination for fun, and it's only 15 minutes away from Beaver Mountain!

As you can see, the Water's Edge Resort has some great amenities available to make your stay that much better.

Beaver Mountain may be small, but it has it all! I came to "Ski the Beav" but also ended up "Boarding the Beav" and "Biking the Beav"! Starting the day on skis, we were pleasantly surprised that Beaver Mountain still had stashes of snow from weeks ago. The resort has great trails with perfectly spaced trees to weave through.

Playing in the mountains doesn't have to involve the crowds!

We had such a blast skiing, snowboarding, and getting a feel for ski biking. We were shocked the bike held an edge well and felt very similar to mountain biking. Beaver Mountain currently has two ski bikes for rent. Growing in popularity, that number could increase.

It was incredible to learn about about the Beaver Mountain's "Local Legends" that have been coming to the resort for decades, and the fact that they have all volunteer ski patrol. We now know why people love this place and keep coming back! Beaver Mountain also has an adaptive sports program called "Common Ground" located at the base of the resort with easy access to the chair lift. There are four chair lifts; Harry's Dream, Marge's Lift, Beaver Face, and Little Beaver, which is also open for night skiing.

Beaver Mountain provides that small town vibe, even to out of town guests! Beaver Mountain has great soups, sandwiches, and hot off the grill options. They also allow packed lunches and provide cubbies for storage of small coolers while you ski.

My friends and I were also impressed at the affordable prices that Beaver Mountain! All day Adult passes are only $50! We had such an incredible weekend at Beaver Mountain and Water’s Edge at Bear Lake, that we will be sure to come back to experience more!
