Are you missing winter already? Here is some frozen fun!
Snow Much Fun at Home

There is one form of precipitation that we all love. SNOW! I don’t know about you, but my kids can play in the snow for hours. You can melt it and make fun creations out of it. You don’t even need to play in it to make snow fun. Below are crafts, snacks, and activities you can do related to snow! I wanted to share some of my favorite snow-related activities!

#1. How to Make Fake Snow

What if you cannot go outside to enjoy the snow or there is no snow on the ground? Well, you can actually make your own snow. Kids of all ages enjoy this activity. You can put it in a container, add a few toys, and the kids go to town playing in the snow. It's fun to watch their imaginations at work. Below is my recipe for making fake snow.

How to make fake snow

-1 1/2 cup baking soda
-1/4 cup hair conditioner - white in color
Mix ingredients in a bowl and you'll have a fun sensory activity.

#2. Popcorn Snowballs

My favorite part about these snowballs is that they are edible. These Popcorn Snowballs are perfect for movie nights or fun snack to break up the day. The kids love making these because it’s simple to make and a yummy treat.

How to make popcorn snowballs

- 5 cups popped popcorn
- 5 cups marshmallows
- 4 TBS butter
- Salt to taste
- Other options: white chocolate chips, edible snowflakes

This is similar to a rice crispy recipe. You'll melt the butter and marshmallows and then coat all the popcorn. Place on parchment paper to cool.

#3. Have an Indoor Snowball Fight

Have you ever had a snowball fight? Of course, you have. It was cold, but it was fun. Well, you don’t need to have a snowball fight with real snow. You can make up your own snowball fight with items you have lying around your house.

#4. Play a Snow Themed Board Game

If your family can really get behind the snow theme, then you’re going to love family board games. I have a few board games for the whole family that we love playing. Board games aren’t just for when you’re bored though. Set up a weekly board game meeting with the family. Yeti in my Spaghetti, Thin Ice and Frozen Monolopy are some of our all-time winter-themed faves!

#5. Snowman Breakfast

Let’s be honest, kids love it when you’re able to make their morning breakfast options more interesting! Try making a snowman breakfast! The best part is that you can do this breakfast anytime that you want. Try it for dinner too :)

You’re going to have snow much fun with all of these indoor snow ideas. Did we miss something your family loves to do? Tell us in the comments.
