Utah's Fall Beer Festivals

As summer fades to fall and we feel the first hints of chill in the evening air, skiers and snowboarders everywhere turn their attention to the fast-fading season.

Fall signals the start of something good and what better way to celebrate than quaffing a refreshing brewski at one of our famed ski areas? Don't miss the action this autumn at the following Utah beer bashes and enjoy an excuse to welcome winter!

Saturday & Sunday - Mid-Aug through October

Beer fans will not want to miss Utah’s oldest Oktoberfest. Running mid-August through October, the family-friendly atmosphere at Snowbird provides an excellent escape from summer heat or the opportunity to peep some leaves. Revelers can quaff either Saturday or Sunday from 12–6 p.m. at Snowbird’s central plaza. Admission is free and parking is $12.

Snowbird releases a limited edition mug each year and we highly recommend snagging one of bringing one from Oktoberfest's past. Participants who have purchased mugs in the past can bring them for a discount on beer. Revelers can expect live music, great food, artisan crafts, fun merch, great beer and the haunting call of the alpenhorns

The best way to maximize Snowbird’s Oktoberfest is to snag a weekend package with lodging, activity passes, mugs and brats. Visit Snowbird’s website for more information and package deals. You can check out our Snowbird Oktoberfest Guide for additional info.

Every Sunday from September 3 to October 8

Swing by Snowbasin Resort on Sundays this fall for their annual SnowWiesn fall festival. There’s Bavarian food, commemorative beer steins, cold drinks, live music, local vendors and fun activities for kids and adults alike. Give the Masskrugstemmen a go, a lively challenge involving a stein holding competition to score winter lift tickets. It’s harder than it sounds! Try your hand at Hammerschlagen and see if you can drive a nail into a large tree stump or stick with good old-fashioned Corn Hole.

Tickets are $10, or $29 if you wish to take a ride on the scenic gondola! Premier Season Pass Holders have free entry.

The fun starts at noon and the music kicks off just past 1 p.m. Dogs are welcome but they must be leashed and are not permitted on the patio or within the lodges.

Over a dozen Utah breweries will greet guests at Deer Valley's inaugural Mountain Beer Festival. From 11 a.m.–4p.m., beer lovers can enjoy scenic chairlift rides, dining, mountain biking, live music, and resort activities on September 16 and 17. Reach the fun via an initial chairlift ride from the Snow Park base area up to the Silver Lake Lodge. Entry starts at $10.

As Park City’s only beer festival kicks off, patrons can even enjoy full-strength beer selections in the Beer & Music Gardens. When hungry, guests can wander down the Culinary Corridor to nosh on chef-inspired BBQ, hot dogs, burgers, and the famous Deer Valley Turkey Chili.
