FROM BIKES TO BOURBON, OLD FAVORITES AND NEW RETURN FOR FOOD & WINE CLASSIC

Park City’s famous festival boasts five exciting new seminars this summer.

PARK CITY, Utah (May 11, 2015) — Grab your corkscrews and get ready to strap in.

The Park City Food & Wine Classic returns for its eleventh straight year July 9 to 12, featuring more than two dozen food and wine tastings, seminars, bike rides, hikes, fishing excursions and more — all led by world-renowned experts in Park City’s famous Wasatch Mountains.

At least five new seminars will join the roster of events this year: a “Better Off Red Luncheon,” “Moonshine in the Mountains,” “Wine & Nine & Dine,” “Pedal & Pour,” and “Brunch Brunch Baby.”

Ticket prices range from $50 to $225, and can be purchased by visiting the classic’s website,

“This event blends the absolute best of Park City: outstanding food and drinks, and world-class outdoors,” said Jason Ornstein, owner of Team Player Productions, which organizes the Food & Wine Classic. “There are experiences for every sense — taste, smell, sight, touch. BETTER OFF RED LUNCHEON

Friday, July 10, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Fletchers on Main, $95
Attention all red wine lovers! Join Fletchers on Main executive chef Scott Boberek and master sommelier Ron Mumford as they share sensational small plates expertly paired with a red wines from around the world. You won’t want to miss this exceptional food and wine experience.

MOONSHINE IN THE MOUNTAINS

Friday, July 10, from 12 to 2:30 p.m.

Distillery at Blue Sky Ranch, $95

Food and wine pairings have been the rage for years, but why does wine get to have all the fun? Everything goes well with whiskey – especially if it’s from High West. Join proprietor and head distiller David Perkins for an afternoon at High West’s new distillery and refectory at Blue Sky Ranch. Sample single malts, bourbons, rye whiskeys and “bou-ryes,” each paired with a sensational small plate crafted by the culinary team at High West. Then after the luncheon, enjoy a VIP tour of High West’s new state of the art whiskey facility.

WINE & NINE & DINE

Friday, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Victory Ranch, $175

Rising above the scenic Upper Provo River and Woodland Valley with views of the Jordanelle Reservoir and Uinta Mountains, Victory Ranch is one of Utah’s most celebrated private golf courses. Rated the No. 2 course in Utah by Golf Digest, the 400-foot elevation change will test your game while the dramatic scenery tests your focus. After your round, enjoy the 19th hole with a lunch and wine tasting with Jack Gregor of Francis Ford Coppola Winery on the patio of the clubhouse.

PEDAL & POUR

Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

St. Regis Deer Valley, $95

Jump on and clip-in for this unique event combining two of Park City’s top world-class activities: biking and dining. Led by mountain bike enthusiast and executive chef Chip McMullin, the ride will follow Park City and Deer Valley’s premier single-track terrain, with trails available for either expert- or intermediate-level riders. After the ride, enjoy a showcased lunch by Chef Chip at J&G Grill, complemented with wines from Michael David Winery and winemaker Scott Ferry.

BRUNCH BRUNCH BABY

Sunday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Salt Lake Culinary Center, $95

The classic comes to a close with this interactive brunch experience. Whether you love to cook – or simply love to eat – brunch is the order of the day and cooking skills are no obstacle. The culinary center’s chef instructors will lead guests through a hands-on cooking experience preparing brioche French toast with fresh berries and mascarpone, baked eggs with spinach, prosciutto and parmigiano-reggiano, and sweet potato-pork belly hash. Special cocktails will be provided by Wine Academy of Utah owner and sommelier James Santangelo.

“We’ve got all the makings of a truly memorable weekend,” Ornstein said. “Whether you love active get-up-and-go vacations or complete and total relaxation — or even a bit of both — our seminars and their leaders will make sure you have the experience of a lifetime.”

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the People’s Health Clinic, a nonprofit that provides healthcare for uninsured individuals and families in Utah’s Summit and Wasatch counties. Last year, the classic raised more than $30,000 for the clinic. In all, Team Player Productions has raised more than $1.4 million for local charities.

People’s Health Clinic is a community-funded, nonprofit health clinic that provides high-quality primary care to uninsured individuals and families in Summit and Wasatch counties. The clinic’s services include pediatric, chronic disease, prenatal and general adult medical services.
