PARK CITY, UT – Celebrating its 12th year, the National Ability Center's Red, White & Snow event will take place Thursday, March 3 through Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Park City, Utah. The center's premier fundraising event offers food and wine lovers a weekend filled with the area's best skiing, dining and entertainment, all to celebrate the empowerment of people of all abilities through recreational activities.
Red, White & Snow provides guests the opportunity to meet winemakers, vineyard owners and nationally renowned chefs. The weekend-long fête consists of four events, with all funds donated used to provide new possibilities for individuals of all abilities at the National Ability Center. Registration for Red, White & Snow opened Tuesday, January 5, 2016, with limited space available for each event.
Red, White & Snow kicks off Thursday, March 3 at Stein Eriksen Lodge with Adobe Uncorked. This intimate evening sets the tone for the weekend and features tastings of more than 30 vintners' favorite wines and hors d'oeuvres, complemented by live music. Serious wine connoisseurs can add to their experience by attending the limited-ticket VIP hour held an hour before Uncorked for an opportunity to talk and taste with the vintners one-on-one.
Friday, March 4 begins with Wine on the Mountain at St. Regis Deer Valley and ends with the popular Vintner Dinners. Wine on the Mountain is an exclusive slope-side tasting and lunch après ski party. Guests are invited to show off their best vintage ski gear and win a trophy for best outfit. Vintners will highlight their newest releases or classic favorites, set against breathtaking mountain views and paired with enticing cuisine provided by St. Regis Deer Valley. Friday evening's Vintner Dinners are a highlight of Red, White & Snow. Premier chefs and vintners craft exquisite meals with artful wine pairings in luxurious, private homes throughout Park City and the surrounding areas. During the evening, a National Ability Center participant or volunteer will visit each dinner and share their personal experience of discovering the possibilities through the center's unique programs.
From 10am to noon on Saturday, March 5, the National Ability Center will host a National Ability Center Experience at the center's ranch, where they will demonstrate current trends and guests can experience firsthand equipment used by program participants. The weekend culminates with a black tie Gala Dinner and Auction at Montage Deer Valley and emceed by Scott Wolf, of Party of Five. The Gala Dinner and Auction is an evening of culinary delights, decadent vintages and popular auction items. Seated at each table of eight will be one of the presenting vintners to share an extraordinary selection of wines. The fun continues after the Gala with the After Party in the Montage's Vista Lounge, where guest can dance to the sounds of DJ Dolph, enjoy specialty cocktails and indulgent desserts.
