WHAT:
The National Ability Center (NAC) will introduce their much-anticipated expansion of their world-class adaptive high ropes challenge course. The course is frequented by families, school groups, veterans, agencies and camps, and the recent upgrades were implemented for people of all abilities, including better functionality for all types of wheelchairs, mobility devices and a wide range of disabilities.
The event will include remarks from the NAC, as well as representatives from Intermountain Healthcare and the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), both of whom funded the course’s extensive renovations with a $195,000 donation. In addition, Heber Light and Power donated $20,000 in time and equipment for the installation of the ropes course. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, attendees will be invited to try out the new course.
The event will be immediately followed by the NAC’s annual Barn Party at 5:30pm, a benefit supporting the organization’s equestrian programs. Tickets can be purchased at www.discovernac.org/barnparty.
