SALT LAKE CITY, UT – It is snowing in Utah, which means it is Powder Flu season. With the amount of snowfall accumulating in Utah’s mountains statewide, this year’s Powder Flu has quickly become an epidemic. Studies show that this may be one of the most contagious strains to have ever hit Utah.
Normally, the Powder Flu affects individuals who can easily get school and work off to fuel their ski and snowboard powder addictions. This year it’s a lot more serious: Not only are the normal Powder Flu candidates becoming infected, the virus is rapidly spreading to professionals, travelers and students alike. Travelers with job obligations are missing their flights out of the Salt Lake City International Airport, while medical students at the University of Utah are in complete denial of the sickness and are showing up to their classes in ski boots endlessly screaming the word “powder.”
