Summer Dinners and Events at Powder Mountain Resort

Powder Mountain Resort is announcing the beginning of summer operations on the mountain and in the Ogden Valley.

Eden, Utah (June 14, 2018) –  The multi-season resort is offering a full schedule of biking and trail running events, unique dining experiences, live music and access to a breathtaking landscape for any mountain enthusiast during the 2018 summer season.

Pizza and Pints has become a staple in the Ogden Valley and provides the perfect kick off to the weekend. Hosted every Thursday night at Bower Lodge, next to Wolf Creek Golf Course, Powder Mountain’s culinary team prepares a pizza buffet using locally sourced ingredients and paired with the local brewers’ best offerings. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the door.

Powder Mountain’s new Open Air Dining Series — featuring food prepared by award-winning Chef Chris Park and curated by Kelsie O’Connor — provides unforgettable culinary experiences in a variety of stunning locations on and around Powder Mountain. Guests are greeted with cocktails followed by a 5-course meal paired with wine or a beverage of choice. Each event is complemented by a local artist providing live music. These intimate and communal long table dinners are limited to 40 guests per event. You can join the magic July 22nd, August 26th, and September 16th.

For the active visitor, Powder Mountain is hosting the Trail Trials trail running series and the Paper Airplane MTB Series mountain biking. Trail Trials is presented by Salomon and returning for its second season. Trail Trials is a four-event series, which takes place every other Thursday beginning July 12th (July 12th, July 26th, August 9th and August 23rd). The Trail Trials races average ~5K in length and help familiarize runners with the resort's new and improved trail system. The new Paper Airplane MTB Series presented by Enve begins on Thursday July 19th and includes four races (July 19th, August 2nd, August 16th and August 30th). The Paper Airplane MTB Series features course laps ranging from 4 to 14 miles. Tacos, refreshments, a raffle and prizes will wrap up each trail running and mountain biking race.

Tacos, Beer and Bikes is open at Hidden Lake Lodge every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for your street taco cravings, bike repair needs, refreshments, retail and mountain bike rentals. New for the 2018 summer, Powder Mountain Provisions is opening its doors downstairs at Bower Lodge in Eden, Utah. E-bikes, cruisers and mountain bikes are available for rent. The new shop also offers retail, refreshments, snacks and most bike repair supplies.

Powder Mountain is thrilled to announce the fifth annual Music in the Mountains chamber music festival, from August 29th through September 2nd, 2018. This year’s festival will include outreach concerts at local schools in the Ogden Valley, a free concert at Arbor Lodge on August 31st and two VIP Concert/Dinner experiences in the Skylodge on September 1stand September 2nd. The premier classical chamber music festival in Eden has quickly become a beloved part of the community’s summer calendar. Inspired by the beauty and spirit of the region, in 2014, violinist and Music in the Mountains Artistic Director, Michelle Ross, partnered with Powder Mountain in order to bring world class classical music to the region. The musicians travel to Eden each year to live and rehearse in this mountain setting, interact with the community in outreach events and culminate their residency by performing concerts atop Powder Mountain.

Information can be found for all dining, musical and active events at powdermountain.com.

As one the first resorts to cap day and season passes, Powder Mountain is a one of a kind multi-season resort hanging its hat on skier experience, summer activities and an unprecedented mountain modern village development. With the addition of two new lifts in 2016, the distinctive resort boasts the most skiable acreage in North America with 8,464 acres. Preserving the Pow Mow experience is made possible by capping day passes at 1,500 daily visitors and adult season passes at 1,500 yearly, which allows for an average of three acres per skier.
