June 2016 (Park City, UT) – Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation is excited to announce ‘The Anti-Gala’, an inaugural fundraising event on Thursday, July 14 from 6:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. at Utah Olympic Park in Park City. The Anti-Gala event is an alternative to the traditional, stereotypical fundraiser. This evening event offers guests the opportunity to play at Utah Olympic Park from dusk until the stars come out, while contributing to an amazing local cause. Black tie and heels are not allowed.

“Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation is very excited to host our friends and community for an outdoor evening of fun,” said Colin Hilton, President and CEO, Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation. “As Utah’s Olympic Legacy grows, it is critical that we involve the community in our fundraising efforts. We look forward to sharing the Legacy Foundation’s plans for the future, as we continue to emphasize the importance and impact of sports and recreation in everyday life.”

The Anti-Gala evening features unlimited access to Utah Olympic Park’s most popular adventure activities including extreme tubing, extreme zip line and alpine slide. Salt Lake City-based cover band, Rage Against the Supremes, is the opening; and the evening’s main act, Changing Lanes Band, promises to deliver their signature high-energy style and infectious summer sound.

The dining experience features delectable treats from the talented culinary team at Riverhorse on Main. Best described as “an eclectic American restaurant,” Riverhorse on Main has been Park City’s premier dining spot since 1987, boasting an inventive genius in the kitchen that’s earned a long list of dining accolades, from repeated AAA Four-Diamond Awards to the prestigious DiRoNa Award to — most notably — one of fewer than 150 Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star ratings in the U.S.

General admission is $100 per person and available online and in person at Utah Olympic Park. (After July 10, tickets are $125 based on availability.) Special Fire Pit Packages are available for purchase for $2000. The package includes admission for 10 with reserved seating, a private fire pit, and Riverhorse on Main S’mores Basket. Please contact Jennifer Lippman, Development Director, at 435.658.4229 to reserve a Fire Pit Package or to become an event sponsor.

Proceeds form the evening will directly benefit the efforts of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation including year- round sports training and competitions, youth and adult winter sports development programs, and community- based resources serving a number of diverse user groups.

Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation is committed to establishing Utah as a premier Olympic winter sports training and event destination. The Legacy Foundation manages three 2002 Olympic Winter Games venues – Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, Utah Olympic Park in Park City, and Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway – and represents one of the most successful Olympic legacy models in the world. These three venues hosted eight of the fifteen winter sports and 44 out of the 78 gold medal events awarded during the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

Today, each venue has evolved into hybrid facilities hosting world class events, supporting elite athlete training and operating as community recreation centers. The Legacy Foundation has demonstrated that Olympic venues can evolve, stay relevant, and ultimately, provide communities with access to sport opportunities for all ages and abilities.
