Park City, Utah (May 13, 2015) – Utah Olympic Park has been busy readying the facility for this upcoming summer season. From construction on the new Big Air Pool to improvements in parking and infrastructure, the Utah Olympic Park expects a very exciting summer season. Utah Olympic Park’s summer activities—the signature summer Comet Bobsled ride, three adventure ropes course, ziplines, alpine slide, and drop tower—all open this Saturday, May 16.
The early summer schedule will operate weekends only from May 16 through May 31 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The activities will also be open on Memorial Day. The Olympic Park moves to its regular season schedule starting on June 1 with daily operations from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM through September 7. New this summer, the Utah Olympic Park will be offering extended hours during the months of July and August—keeping the activities open until 8:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
Summer Comet Bobsled rides will be available Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 pm from May 16 to May 31. From June 1 to September 7, rides will operate from 1 to 5 pm, Monday to Friday and 12 to 5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays.
The Psicobloc Climbing Wall returns this summer and opens to the public on June 27 with daily climbing sessions available through September 7. The climbing wall—designed exclusively for the Psicobloc Master Series deep-water soloing climbing competition—features two routes of varying difficulty. Climbers free climb the routes with the Utah Olympic Park Big Air Pool as their safety net. Adult and youth day passes will be available as well as season-long climbing passes. With an anticipated mid-June pool opening, the Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Show starts this summer on June 27, featuring its signature half-hour big air performance. From June 28 through September 6, the freestyle shows will be held at 11:00 AM every Saturday and 1:00 PM every Sunday excluding July 4. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for kids ages three to 12 or seniors ages 65 and older. Ages two and under are free.
The Alf Engen Ski Museum and Eccles 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Museum are open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with free admission. Guided tours are offered hourly from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, May 30 through September 7.
