Travelin' Mama

Growing up in the Canadian Rockies, Amber Borowski Johnson's earliest memories were of riding chairlifts in subarctic temperatures. Somehow, frozen nose hairs evolved into a lifelong passion for the outdoors. After college, her first gig was reporting Ski Utah's glorious snow totals on the radio as the "Craaaaazy Cnauck" and traveling the nation promoting skiing and the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. She went on to work as a publicist for Snowbird Ski and Snowboard Resort and as a travel writer for local and national publications including Park City Mountain Resort's cutting-edge Snowmamas community. Amber then spent over a decade in Colorado where she built the state's largest social media community for moms, was a columnist for The Denver Post and contributor for NBC affiliate 9News. She was Microsoft's official blogger at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and she recently relocated to Midway, Utah with her husband and two teens. She is a communications manager for a non-profit in Park City by day and evenings and weekends are dedicated to all things travel and writing.
