In Utah, you’re skiing some of the most iconic mountains in the world, so why not round your day off at some of the most iconic après bars? You’re probably well versed in the classic après spots in your town, but how about in Utah? Where do the locals go? What are those legendary, must-hit après bars that should be on everyone’s list? We’re here to break it down for you with eight of the most iconic après ski bars in Utah.

1. The Peruvian Bar (P-Dog) - Alta Ski Area

The Peruvian Bar, known by locals as the P-dog, is the quintessential après bar. Located at the Alta Peruvian Lodge between Alta and Snowbird in Little Cottonwood Canyon, this is an absolute staple. Whether you come for the free popcorn, the margaritas, live music, or the shot ski—you’re sure to have a wild good time at P-dog.

2. The Tram Club - Snowbird

Known for their famous "shot and a beer" combo, this go-to local spot is situated in the basement of the Snowbird Center underneath the inner workings of the aerial tram. Sip a well-deserved beverage while witnessing the impressive bull wheel of Snowbird’s Tram in action. Kick back and snag yourself some spicy cheese fries after a long day on the slopes.

3. Powder Keg - Powder Mountain

From legendary ramen to live music, the vibes at Powder Keg are unmatched. Located on the lower level of the Timberline Lodge, this iconic après bar is known for a raucous good time. At The Keg, don’t expect a relaxing place to kick up your feet, but rather a place to continue the hype and find yourself dancing on tables.

4. Molly Greens - Brighton

Watch the snow fall and cozy up by the fire in this intimate A-frame après bar. Grab yourself some nachos and a pitcher of beer while swapping stories with friends of your day on the slopes. Brighton is also open for night skiing and the party vibes at Molly’s continue well into the night. It’s a Utah classic that you won’t want to miss.

5. The Corner Store - Park City Mountain

Located at the base of Park City Mountain, this is a local favorite après joint that is particularly popular in the spring or on sunny winter days. With its huge outdoor patio, you’ll likely find live music and people jamming out in their party shirts and ski boots. It’s a great spot to grab a burger, brew, and take in the nice weather.

6. Thirsty Squirrel - Solitude Mountain Resort

Play a game of pool or shuffleboard at this laid-back après bar. Located at The Village at Solitude, here you can mingle amongst the locals, enjoy some pub-fare, or even flex your knowledge at their trivia nights.

7. Last Chair Saloon - Brian Head Ski Resort

At Brian Head Resort, your last run on the slopes won’t actually be your “last chair”—cue The Last Chair Saloon. Although you won’t be on an actual chairlift, you’ll still be having an awesome time at this après classic. Located on the third floor of the Giant Steps Lodge, you’ll find yourself enjoying live music and Southern Utah’s largest selection of beer.

8. The Owl Bar- Sundance Mountain Resort

The Owl Bar was originally a 19th-century Wyoming saloon that was dismantled and relocated to its current location at Sundance Mountain Resort. Adorned with vintage photographs and memorabilia, the ambiance exudes old western charm. A bar that used to be frequented by Butch Cassidy is surely an iconic one not to be missed!
