SUMMER & FALL ACTIVITIES IN PARK CITY, UTAH

Park City Mountain Resort

Spend a day (or a week) at Park City Mountain for a high-octane menu of adventure fun. Bring a bike or rent one to take advantage of over 150 miles of nearby trails, some of which are accessible by chairlift. The mountain also boasts a 3,000+ foot-long Alpine Slide, one of the longest in the world.

If you’re in town, you can catch a scenic chairlift right from Old Town on the Town Lift, we recently did this to peep the wildflowers and were *not* disappointed.

Park City Mountain also offers a rich array of activities for kids and kids at heart from minigolf to disc golf, the Flying Eagle Zip Line, gem panning, a ropes course, an 18-hole golf course, hiking trails, and more. Don’t miss the weekly farmers’ markets and the concert series at the Canyons Village.

Utah Olympic Park & Alf Engen Ski History Museum

Knock out two awesome diversions in one at the Alf Engen Ski Museum and the Utah Olympic Park. First head to the museum where admission is FREE. Here you can learn all about the heritage of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games alongside the amazing stories of Utah skiing history. Admire vintage ski outfits, learn about snow safety and avalanche control, and see if you have Olympic potential on the ski jumping simulator.

Then head to the adjacent Utah Olympic Park where you can participate or spectate in awesome feats of athleticism. The Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Showcase highlights the mind-blowing skills of Olympians and National Team Skiers and Snowboarders hucking off jumps and launching as high as 60 feet in the air before landing in the Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. This half hour show is one of the most memorable things you can do in Park City. The Olympic Park also offers bobsled rides (you really feel the G-forces on this one), extreme ziplines, ropes courses and more.

Deer Valley Bike Park

There are over 60 miles of mountain biking trails at Deer Valley spread across six mountains with over 3,000 feet in vertical elevation change.

That’s in addition to awesome food and relaxing patio vibes. For lift-accessed biking, there are four flow trails designed by the prestigious Gravity Logic group who created the Whistler Bike Park. There are also two new trails under construction for summer 2023. Lifts spin late on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the Twilight Ride Series. If needed, Deer Valley provides an excellent selection of rental bikes and private or group lessons. You’ll want to catch lunch at the Royal Street Cafe to round out your Deer Valley experience.

Deer Valley Summer Concert Series: The Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater is an awesome venue with a comfy sloped lawn for patrons to enjoy the Deer Valley Concert Series and the DV Music Festival. Reserved hillside seating and a spacious general admissions area allows music fans to jam out rain or shine. Bring your picnic, blanket, and chairs (under nine inches high). Outside alcohol is prohibited but there are ample food and beverage options at the venue. For more info and a concert schedule, Click Here.

WHERE TO DINE IN PARK CITY, MORNING, NOON & NIGHT

Classic Breakfast - The Eating Establishment

Since 1972, the iconic Eating Establishment along Park City’s Main Street has been serving up hearty comfort food and breakfast all day! This Park City institution was revamped a bit in 2017 with the addition of a bar and craft cocktails from Bar X and the Beer Bar beer list. The Eating Establishment is equally satisfying for lunch and dinner, so don’t miss this one.

Coffee - Atticus Coffee & Teahouse

For a delightful cup of coffee, visit the Atticus Coffee & Teahouse at the bottom of Main Street just across the street from the Town Lift. Light breakfast options like bagels, smoothies, quiche, and breakfast burritos will fuel you up for the day.

Lunch or Treats - Royal Street Cafe

It’s hard to beat the atmosphere and location of the patio near the Royal Street Cafe at Deer Valley. Sumptuous food rejuvenates hikers, bikers, and anyone who wishes to enjoy the many summer activities at Deer Valley. Grab a big Adirondack chair, a yummy meal, and watch the lifts spin 'round under the sunshine. For those with a sweet tooth, try one of Deer Valley's famous chocolate chip cookies or sidle up to the Deer Valley Creamery Milkshake bar. All ice cream is made onsite with fresh ingredients to blow the mind.

Lunch - El Chubasco

For cheap, fast, and intensely satisfying it is hard to beat Park City’s El Chubasco. An impressive salsa bar awaits patrons who wish to decorate their homemade meals. You can’t go wrong here, everything on the menu is delicious!

Après - High West

No stay in Park City is complete without paying homage to the High West Distillery and Saloon on Lower Park Ave. Obviously, the cocktails are to die for but we also love the rosemary french fries and the beef/bison burger. This place can be jammed so we do recommend heading in before 5:00PM for a little early après sesh to avoid waiting in line.

Après - Park City Roadhouse Grill

Another great après option is the casual Park City Roadhouse Grill located between Canyons Village and Park City on Park Avenue. Owned by the Salt Lake Brewing Company, this restaurant prioritizes local ingredients, quality food, and good beer.

Romantic Dinner - Purple Sage

For a taste of the west, visit Purple Sage along the heart of Main Street. The cuisine focuses on bold and authentic flavors of the Rocky Mountains. Think sugar and chili-cured duck, local free-range beef, and fresh Utah Trout served in an intimate and charming atmosphere in the heart of Park City’s historic district.

Casual Dinner - Wasatch Brewery

At the top of Main lies the familiar brick edifice of the Wasatch Brew Pub. Their rooftop patio is the perfect spot for a bird’s eye view of Park City in the balmy evening air.
