Take a look behind the scenes with the men and women who make our powder days a possibility. In this episode of Powder People, Ski Utah teams up with Snowbird Ski Patrol to show you what really goes into safely managing a resort like Snowbird. From avalanche control to responding to injuries, Ski Patrollers work hard so we can have fun. Ski Utah says thanks to all of Utah's ski patrollers for keeping us safe on The Greatest Snow on Earth®.

Very impressed with the level of professionalism and compassion with the ski patrol that came to my rescue on powder paradise after muscle tear. And while the ride down was not the way I wanted, I was always safe and knew it! Thanks again and see you next year!!!

From a former Ski Patrol - The Ski Patrol at Snowbird are some of the best in the business! I was the unfortunate recipient of getting a free tobaggan ride of shame from the bottom of Cirque down to the tram when I fractured my tibial plateau in March '14. The were fast, efficient, and true professionals.

Great video showing behind the scenes how much effort goes into providing a good Powder day for the Pass Holders and day guests.I also agree that the roll models there should be wearing the best safety equipment provided by the Mountain.Maybe Smith could form some sort of partnership with the Bird and create a one of a kind Snowbird helmet @ goggle set up that would be attractive to everybody.

The increasing number of accidents caused by on mountain collisions speaks for itself! The patrol members have a serious responsibility to slow down the hot shots causing these accidents and...where appropriate...pull passes! Being "nice guy" just doesn't cut it. I have been skiing for over 75 years and have never had to constantly look back over my shoulder like I do now.
