Nestled in northern Utah, not far from Ogden, the greatest little family resort is found. A great ski school, all terrain night skiing and affordable prices make Nordic Valley a great destination for families!
The Greatest Family Resort You've Never Heard Of!

It's opening weekend at our beloved Nordic Valley!

When planning a trip to Utah, you hear of the bigger resorts such as Snowbird, Park City or Deer Valley. But what about Nordic Valley?  With kids, sometimes simpler is better. Long lift lines aren't one of the most fun parts of the day with kids. At Nordic Valley, there are 3 lifts, which access 80% of blue/green runs. This is great for me as I'm not a great skier. The best part of all...price! As a Mom, I'm always looking to save a buck. During the weekdays, you can get the kiddos up from 11-4 pm for $20 a child and $25 for adults!  How great is that? Kids oftentimes can't go a full 7 hour day - this Mom can't go that long either - so this is the perfect time to get them out and not break the bank. Weekends and holidays are only $5 dollars more.

The mountain is small enough that all the terrain is open for night skiing - all 22 runs. And after the holidays, from 4-9 p.m. on Fridays, grab a date and for 2 of you, it is just $30 dollars! There is no better ski resort to get these kinds of deals. The ski school offers extensive lessons and also caters to school groups.

For my son, terrain parks are big. Nordic Valley offers terrain parks for all abilities. This means that the little ones can get in there to try out the boxes and rails just like the big boys.

And if you need to have a break, the kids will have a hard time getting lost as all three lifts are at the bottom. You'll see them come zipping down and can intersect them if need be or just watch them come up and down.

So here are the best reasons to try Nordic Valley:

1. Price: This is a great place for the family to go without breaking the bank, and it doesn't get any better than this as you teach your kids to ski.

2. Close to two small towns: It's located between Eden and Liberty in case you need to grab something from town.

3. A popular area for night skiing.

4. It's hard for anyone to get lost as the lifts are all at the bottom of the mountain.

Spring is right around the corner, so one thing to pay attention to are closing dates. Nordic Valley's closing day is on March 19, so don't miss out on soaking up the last bit of winter with the family at this unique little resort! Click here to view more photos taken at Nordic Valley.

Enjoy!
