From "Sun Dancing" to Skinny Skis at Sundance

Sundance Mountain Resort is one stop for a full day of play!

After a few hours of skiing or snowboarding at the resort, stop in the Bearclaw Cabin for a warm-up beverage and some Bearclaw nachos, built for fueling 4! When the clouds break, this cabin offers fantastic views of Heber Valley and the surrounding Wasatch Mountains, otherwise, it’s perfect for doing a little “snow dance” at Sundance!

Did you know the skiing doesn’t have to stop when the lifts close? If you want a change from skiing down the wide slopes on your fat powder skis, strip down to your spandex and step into some skinny skis! Two miles up the road from Sundance Mountain Resort, the Sundance Nordic Center has plenty of Rossignol boots and skis to rent. A full 15 kilometers of up and down through woods and meadows, the groomed skate ski and Nordic tracks at Sundance offer beautiful scenery during a sweat worthy workout!

In addition to the Sundance Nordic center, Nordic Valley, Soldier Hollow, Solitude Nordic Center, Best Western Ruby's Inn, Hotel Park City, and the National Ability Center all have lessons, gear, and groomed tracks for your heart pumping enjoyment. Gather some friends, because Nordic skiing isn't just a great solo workout, it's a fun social hour for tightening your tushy!

Sundance also has night sessions and "Full Mooning" available on select dates. If you aren’t doing the “Night Owling” at the Nordic center, then check out the Owl Bar and their list of Favorite Cocktails. They offer live music on Friday and Saturday Nights, a perfect place for a hot date!

Your “Sun dancing" doesn’t have to stop at Sundance Mountain Resort. The Sundance Film Festival happens annually in Park City for 10 days in January. It’s an exciting time with so much happening. Movie premieres, concerts, nightclubs, award shows, and the best part is that most visitors are sliding down main street in search for celebrities, leaving the ski slopes nice and empty! Grab your skis and get moving!

~XOXO, Bring on the SNOW!
