Another reason to head up to Utah's ski areas this summer, besides the cooler temperatures: cold beer! Utah's resorts host a plethora of entertainment options paired with cold beer and great food. Check out summer 2019's lineup of events and go enjoy a cold one!


Brian Head Resort

Festival of Flavors

Enjoy all of Utah’s unique local flavors at Brian Head's Festival of Flavors. Craft Brewers such as Wasatch Brewing, Zion Canyon, and Uinta will offer tastings for beer lovers. Spirits and wine from Utah distilleries and wineries will also be available. Live music and activities will be in full swing. 


R’Oktoberfest

To wrap up the summer season, Brian Head will host their annual R’Oktoberfest with live music, beer vendors, and all their summer activities. Mountain biking, scenic lift rides, the climbing wall, zip lines, disc golf, tubing, and more will keep the whole family amused. 




Sundance



Owl Bar Live Music

The beloved Owl Bar, located in the Sundance Lower Village hosts national and local musical acts on weekends (Friday and Saturdays). Head to Sundance’s website to view the lineup and expect music to kick off around 9:30 PM unless noted. While you’re there you can sample the creative cocktail offerings from the Owl Bar’s talented mixologists. 





50-Year Celebration

Celebrate 50 years of Sundance with discounted scenic lift rides, live music, lawn games, and a free film screening on the lawn. One lucky celebrant will even win a 2019/2020 season pass! Sip suds in the Beer Garden from 5-10 PM and enjoy all the family-friendly activities.

Brews and Bites

Head to Solitude’s newest summer event at the Thirsty Squirrel bar. Sample a variety of brews from Uinta Brewing thoughtfully paired with a fitting chef-crafted appetizer. Live music will be playing and tickets can be purchased at the door. This event is for patrons 21 and older.




Snowbird

Cirque Series - Snowbird Race

If you really want to earn your beer and prefer a truly daunting uphill challenge, register for Discrete’s Cirque Series race at Snowbird on September 7. The 8.7-mile course will wind in an upward direction with 3,566 feet of vertical gain from the Creekside Village, up toward Mid-Gad, into Peruvian Gulch, and on up past the Hidden Peak Summit into Mineral Basin. One of Salt Lake’s newer breweries, Fisher Brewing, will be hosting an afterparty from 9 PM until midnight.

Oktoberfest

Join Snowbird for the longest-running Oktoberfest in Utah. For it’s 47th year, Snowbird’s Oktoberfest features a beer garden, Oktoberfest halle entertainment (music and dancing), stage music, and the bellowing of alphorns on Hidden Peak at 3 PM. Note that parking is $10 and Snowbird encourages using their R.I.D.E. carpooling app.



Snowbasin 



Blues, Brews & BBQ

From June through September, national and regional artists fill the air with live music on Sundays at Snowbasin Resort. Each Sunday, this free family-friendly concert series features three blues, funk, or rock-n-roll bands. The jams will roll out between 12-5:30 PM on the patio and lawn outside Earl's Lodge. Enjoy awesome food and peruse the beer tents for an ample selection of suds. 


Powder Mountain

Run a friendly, timed 5k and join the area’s rapidly growing trail running community at Powder Mountain. Learn the new routes along Powder Mountain’s summer trail network. When you’re done sweating enjoy tacos and beer and test your luck in the raffle.

Live music will be hosted at Bower Lodge from 6 to 10 PM on Thursdays this summer at Powder Mountain. Tickets include limitless pizza, wings, and salads with gluten-free and vegan options. Park City 


Oktoberfest

Experience Park City Mountain's inaugural Oktoberfest in the Canyons Village, kicking off Friday, August 30, 2019 on Labor Day Weekend. The village will be decked out, inspired by Munich beer halls and Bavarian culture. This event is family-friendly and guests are encouraged to don traditional Bavarian costumes while they enjoy authentic food, music and activities. Check the website for hours and event schedule.

Deer Valley

On Mondays at the Brass Tag pub in The Lodges at Deer Valley Resort, a weekly pub quiz challenges beer quaffers from 6-9 PM. Drink and food specials are offered alongside swag with a Brass Tag gift card awarded to the winning team.


Deer Valley Concert Series

The acoustics are fine at Deer Valley Resort’s Snow Park outdoor amphitheater. Spread a blanket on the sloping lawn and enjoy big names like Ben Harper and Lukas Nelson. Picnics, coolers, glass containers, and dancing are all permitted and Deer Valley will also provide food and beverage concessions. Ticketing is offered for reserved seating, general admission floor, or general admission on the lawn. Check the website to purchase tickets and to view the artist lineup. 


Deer Valley Music Festival - Utah Symphony

Deer Valley is the summer home of the Utah Symphony. Listen to classical, chamber, and pop music performed by the symphony. Deer Valley offers concessions or you are welcome to bring your own picnic basket and beverage(s) of choice. 2019 will mark the 16th season of the Deer Valley Music Festival. Stein Eriksen Hops on the Hill

Each Tuesday evening local craft brewers and Chef Zane of the Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley offer delectable food and beer pairings with live music on the lawn.
