It’s a question I get asked a lot from people with young children. Where can my kids ski for free in Utah?

Snowbasin Resort comments:
Merry Christmas Eve from the mountain! We’re rolling into the holiday with a 21” base, 16 open runs, and 4 lifts spinning, delivering 2,500 vertical feet of top-to-bottom riding. It’s a great day to sneak in some turns before the big guy in red takes over the skies tonight. Expect mostly cloudy conditions with a high near 47° and a low around 39°, keeping things soft and springy out there. Winds will be coming from the southwest at 15–17 mph, with gusts up to 33 mph, so hang onto those Santa hats! There’s a 40% chance of rain mainly after 2pm, making the morning your best bet for festive laps and cheerful carves. Whether you’re cruising groomers or soaking up the holiday vibes, it’s shaping up to be a fun and relaxed Christmas Eve on the hill. We’ll be opening a little later at 10:00am to give our hardworking team some extra time with their families. Thanks so much for your understanding—and for choosing to celebrate the season with us. Give yourself the gift of future turns! Enjoy $60 off weekday lift tickets starting in January. Holidays and peak periods are excluded, but this is the lowest price you’ll see all year, so don’t miss out. From all of us here, have a safe, happy, and snowy Christmas Eve!
