Although PowMow's reputation is for untouched powder, the 2,800 acres served by lifts have an abundance of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs that are groomed nightly. The young at heart can select from two terrain parks including one that is open until the resort closes at 10:00pm.
Of course, those wanting to test out their fat skis and powder boards will want to explore the 1,200 acres of powder country and take the shuttle back to the lifts. Or, ride in the heated cabin of the snowcat to Lightning Ridge's trees, chutes and bowls. For extreme adventure, try out the heliskiing.
This year Powder Mountain will be start a new snowcat adventure, Powder Snowcat Safari. For $300 per person, ten people will be escorted out to 1000 acres of exclusive bowls, glades and chutes. The price for the all day excurion includes guides, lunch and beacons.
Powder Mountain is proud of its relaxed, family atmosphere and personalized attention. Be sure to take the complimentary host orientation or sign up for a private guided tour. Your quest for the perfect run won't get lost in the diversions of a village, but you will find all of the amenities you need. Certified snow sports school, sport shops with rentals, restaurants and slope side lodging.
