New Lifts and Terrain to Explore This Season

The 2025–26 Utah ski season is rapidly approaching! This year, there are more lifts to ride and new terrain to explore, so start now to plan your biggest season yet. I’ve organized the resorts from north to south in case you want to make a tour out of exploring all the new lifts and terrain this season.

Snowbasin Resort

The Becker Lift has been replaced and upgraded to a high-speed detachable quad, speeding ride time from 12 minutes to under seven, and will transport 1,800 riders per hour. Additionally, the base of the Becker Lift has been shifted closer to Wildcat Express, opening up additional beginner terrain. Becker Lift is one of the resort's iconic chairs, originally installed in 1986.

Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley’s Expanded Excellence initiative has more than doubled the resort’s skiable terrain! It began last winter with the addition of the East Village area – including a new highly convenient parking lot, which allows guests to bypass downtown Park City.

This winter, Deer Valley will debut seven new chairlifts—including the East Village Express, a 10-passenger gondola linking the new East Village to Park Peak—and more than 80 new ski runs. These additions bring the resort’s total to 10 new lifts and over 100 new runs since December 2024, marking a defining milestone in Deer Valley’s transformation.

It’s an impressive transformation worth seeing when you visit Utah this winter.

Park City Mountain

Park City Mountain is launching the new Sunrise Gondola this winter, replacing the Sunrise limited-access lift with a high-speed 10-person gondola for a faster and more streamlined ride to Red Pine Lodge and the resort’s improved beginner terrain. The addition of Sunrise Gondola is also expected to improve base area flow. The gondola will open on opening day on November 21.

Sundance Mountain Resort

Explore 50 acres of new terrain in the Far East area, as well as a new 1,800 vertical foot ridgeline run that offers sweeping views of the Heber and Utah Valleys. These improvements are part of an ongoing initiative, including a new high-speed quad lift, the Electric Horseman Express, coming in the 2026–27 season.
