Thanksgiving Weekend Storm Delivers 70" of Snow to Utah

By Yeti \ December 2 2019

Utah's first big snowstorm rolled in just before Thanksgiving and dumped as much as 70" of snow on Utah's ski resorts. A great Thanksgiving powder feast was had by all at Alta Ski Area, Powder Mountain, Snowbasin Resort, Snowbird, and Solitude Mountain Resort's opening days. Enjoy a tasty buffet of photos below from the storm.

And for the really good stuff...STORM TOTALS:

Alta Ski Area - 69"
Brian Head Ski Resort - 60"
Brighton - 63"
Park City Mountain - 50"
Powder Mountain - 46"
Snowbasin Resort - 51"
Snowbird - 70"
Solitude Mountain Resort - 50"

Sundance Mountain Resort (Opening December 6) and Deer Valley Resort (Opening December 7) both received significant snowfall in advance of their openings this week too.

Find the most up to date information on opening dates at the Resort Openings blog post, and keep posted on snow totals and conditions across the state throughout the season by checking the Ski Utah Snow Report and signing up for Utah Powder Alert Emails.
