Top 10 Yoga and Pilates Studios in Park City and Salt Lake City to turn your Apres from bar crawl to bear crawl
Apres Ski Yoga and Pilates

Ski, recover, repeat. That’s my favorite flow for making the most of ski season here in Utah.

Don't get me wrong, I love a crisp beer with friends at the end of a hard ski day, but in recent years I've discovered that the trick to skiing strong on back-to-back ski days requires more intentional recovery efforts. Saunas, steam rooms, and cold plunges are great for recovery, but I've found an option that blends movement with restoration: yoga or Pilates.

Active recovery is the secret to multi-day ski trip success. It keeps muscles firing and reduces soreness, especially when you’re planning a multi-day ski trip. Utah has so many amazing pilates and yoga studios.  Many studios are conveniently located a short drive from the ski resorts, making it easy to change up your typical après ski routine. From local studios to luxury spas, you can choose where to unwind, reset, and prep your body to click into your bindings the next morning.

As a skier, a physical therapist, and a pilates instructor, these are some of my favorite spots in Park City and Salt Lake City. Each offers thoughtful movement experiences that support recovery while keeping you strong, centered, and ready for the next big day.

So go ahead and check out some of these studios while visiting Utah. Your body won’t regret you taking the time to switch your après routine from bar crawl to bear crawl.

Park City Area Studios

Park City Yoga Collective

A true local favorite and one of the most approachable studios in town. Park City Yoga Collective offers a wide range of classes at great prices, with two separate classrooms set at different temperatures so you can choose what your body needs that day.

Their restorative classes are especially post-ski-friendly. I tried their Restore Yoga after a long ski day last season and walked out feeling noticeably more rested. My heart rate variability dropped significantly, a clear sign my nervous system had shifted into recovery mode. It was the kind of reset that made me feel ready for a good night's sleep before my next big ski day.

Peak 45 Park City

If your version of recovery includes a little burn, Peak 45 delivers. This Lagree-style studio focuses on slow, controlled strength work that lights up muscles skiers rely on, especially glutes, core, and quads.

I love taking Kendall’s classes before a ski day. Think of it as muscle activation rather than training. You leave with all of your main muscle groups activated and more body awareness. It’s a great option for skiers who want to ski hard but not miss their strength workout.

Stein Eriksen Lodge

If you’re looking for a luxury après ski yoga experience, Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley delivers. Their spa and fitness offerings allow you to combine movement with relaxation. You can take a yoga or fitness class, warm up in the sauna, get a massage, and finish with a cold plunge.

This is the place to enjoy a full afternoon of self-care. It’s perfect for a rest day or for people who want to slow things down and enjoy the slope-side amenities of a luxury resort.

Good Movement Studio

Locally owned and tucked inside the historic Snowed Inn, Good Movement Studio feels grounded and intentional in the best way. Classes blend mobility, strength, and mindful movement, making it a great complement to skiing’s physical demands.

This is a studio where you feel truly seen and guided, not rushed. Ideal for skiers who want to move better to feel better, and enjoy historic Park City’s local charm.

Summit Yoga Park City

Summit Yoga offers a mix of heated and non-heated classes, with schedules that work well around ski days. Whether you want a slow flow or something a little more energizing, it’s easy to find a class that fits your trip's rhythm.

Salt Lake Valley Studios: Easy Access from Cottonwood Canyon Resorts

The Cliff Spa

Located at Snowbird, The Cliff Spa is a perfect stop if you’re skiing in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Their movement classes pair seamlessly with spa access, making it easy to combine yoga with a rejuvenating massage or a sauna session.

If you ever have the opportunity to take a class with Kaitlin, don’t hesitate. She is a phenomenal skier and yoga instructor teaching at multiple studios in Salt Lake. Her experience as a Ski Utah athlete helps shape her instruction, making it incredibly effective for skiers looking to perform their best.

The Point Pilates

The Point Pilates focuses on alignment, core integration, and intentional strength. This is an excellent option for skiers who appreciate detailed cueing and want to improve movement efficiency with two convenient locations in Salt Lake City.

Tonic Method

Tonic Method blends strength, mobility, and endurance in a way that feels modern and energizing. It’s a great choice if you want something dynamic that still supports recovery between ski days.

Seek Studio

This Sugarhouse-based studio makes Seek Studio incredibly convenient, whether you’re skiing in Park City or the Cottonwoods. The energy here is lively and welcoming. Classes at Seek feel intentional with just the right amount of challenge.

Bring your own mat and sign up early. Don’t miss Madison’s classes; they book out fast for a reason.

Mountain Yoga Sandy

An accessible, no-frills studio option near the base of the Cottonwood Canyons. Mountain Yoga Sandy offers dependable classes that fit perfectly into a ski-focused schedule.

Making It Part of Your Ski Utah Trip

Pairing skiing with yoga or Pilates is an ideal way to get in active recovery. Adding movement-based recovery rounds out your ski trip in a way that helps you feel your best the entire time you’re here, and when you go home.

Try stacking a morning Pilates session before a ski day, then follow up with a restorative yoga class on day two or three. Combine that with smart fueling and hydration, and suddenly your ski trip transforms into the perfect vacation.
