A series of storms have hit Brian Head with some of the deepest powder days of the season, with the largest storm hitting this week bringing a storm total of 70". Skiers and riders from throughout the west converged on Brian Head to feast in the new snow.

Trees cleared from a beetle infestation decades ago means there are wide open spaces to enjoy the new snow. Brian Head Peak in the background at 11,300 even offers a bit of extreme skiing for adventurous hikers.

Occasionally, the storm riding opened up and sometimes you could get a glimpse at the surrounding scenery.

The powder day was approved by those who took part, including many from northern Utah here to sample Brian Head and $35 weekday lift tickets.
