With long runs and deep powder, “Every inch of it is perfect from the Bottom to the Top” just like Meghan Trainor's song, “I’m all about that Bass, ‘bout that Bass”… Snowbasin!
To get to Snowbasin, it’s a little less than an hour drive from Salt Lake City, with increasingly beautiful views along the way. We wanted to come check out the scene and pre-party before the 75th Birthday Party of Snowbasin that is happening Saturday, January 30th! Starting the day on the John Paul lift, we made it to the top and saw the Allen Peak Tram to take us higher, so of course we jumped in. Getting a slightly later start in the morning, we couldn’t believe we had a wide open, untouched face of powder to ski down!
After spending the rest of the morning getting fresh lines off the John Paul lift, we headed into the John Paul Lodge where we powered up with a tasty lunch and warmed up by the fireplace. We bundled back up and took a few fast laps off Porcupine and Middle bowl where we found more untouched powder for more deep SNOW SQUATS!
At the end of this adventurous day we made our way back to the base and thawed out in Earl’s Lodge by the extra large fire with an extra warming beverage! We hopped in to the Cinnabar Après to find wine and snacks and enjoyed watching the band.
Live music plays 3:30pm-6:00pm on weekends and holidays. Don't forget to come celebrate Snowbasin's Birthday on January 30th! From the bottom of the mountain to the top, from the top of the bottle to the bottom, our day at Snowbasin was incredible and unforgettable!
~XOXO, Bring on the SNOW!
