Opening Day at Deer Valley

By Powderhound Cat \ December 14 2010

Deer Valley sets itself apart as a unique ski hill experience. It's been my home mountain for the past two winters. And we always celebrate opening day in style. We had a giant champagne toast and hung out at the Celebrity Ski Fest. We even demo-ed all the new Rossignol skis! But, you're going to have to take my word for it! My video equipment failed me. :(

I was, however, able to salvage all my photos from the day and put them together for you real quick. So far, I've made it to Park City, Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, Wolf Creek, and Deer Valley for their 2010-11 season openings. Next up is the Canyons, which I know so many people are really looking forward to!

The excitement from all our early season snow may have simmered down, but I can't lie to you - what we have is holding up really well. Everyone here is surprised. People on the lifts aren't cranky and complaining, we're all just relaxing and eagerly awaiting another powder day.
