In honor of Leap Day, I headed up to Brighton on February 29th with a plan for adventure: leaping off features around the resort, strapping on a snowboard, even jumping through the parks.
But it was snowing. And it snowed. And SNOWED!
I ditched the original idea and spent the day in powder heaven, lapping trees and groomers off Snake Creek and exploring new territory. I didn't even stop for lunch, it was too good! If they would have let me, I would have slept on the floor at Molly Green's that night. The snow kept falling and I knew the next day was going to be good.
March 1st was my favorite powder skiing day of all time. I spent the whole day on Great Western. Every run was better than the last.
I took some great photos of everyone skiing and riding under the lift and around me on the mountain. I hope you enjoy, and maybe even find one of yourself. I hope you got out to enjoy the deep powder.
Here's a link to the photo album if you'd prefer to flip through yourself.
